Prof. Sattar Bawany

Professor Sattar Bawany is the Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Executive Education (CEE Global).

Prof Bawany is concurrently the Strategic Advisor & Member of International Professional Managers Association (IPMA) Board of Trustees and Governing Council, the Managing Director and C-Suite Master Executive Coach with Executive Development Associates (EDA) and Master Facilitator with Action Management Associates, Inc. (AMAI).

He is presently an Adjunct Professor of Leadership as well as a member of the Advisory Board of Curtin Graduate School of Business School (CGSB), Curtin Business School (CBS) of Curtin University, Western Australia. He is also concurrently an Adjunct Professor of Strategy with the Paris Graduate School of Management (PGSM).

Prof Bawany is an Adjunct Faculty & Master Facilitator for global leadership development programs of Harvard Business School Publishing (HSBP) who partners with clients to create world-class leadership development solutions for managers at all levels in global organizations and governments.

He is a member of the Duke Corporate Education (CE) Global Learning Resource Network (GLRN). The Financial Times and Business Week continue to rate Duke CE as the world’s #1 provider of customized corporate education services.

He is also a member of Frontier Strategy Group’s Expert Advisory Network (EAN) for Human Capital and Talent Management issues in the Asia Pacific advising CEOs and CHROs of global and regional organizations.

Prof Bawany was the past co-chair of the Human Capital Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (AmCham Singapore).

Prof Bawany is currently a Member of the Editorial Board of The International Professional and Applied Management Review and The International Journal of Professional Management.

Prof Bawany has assumed various senior management roles including that of Managing Director and Talent Management & Executive Coaching Practice Leader for DBM Asia Pacific.

His extensive talent management consulting engagement experience includes global talent design and implementation for development High Potentials for organizations across various industries. In these projects, he worked closely with executive-level leaders in the development of Competency Frameworks leading to the Competency-based Performance Management, Talent Management and Succession Planning Strategy creating alignment, consistency and a common approach, across the global corporate functions.

He was also the Head & Business Unit Leader of Global Information Services (GIS) with Mercer HR Consulting. Prior to joining Mercer, he was the Head of Hay Learning Services and Senior Consultant of Organisational Effectiveness & Management Development (OEMD) with the Hay Group. He has also assumed senior leadership roles in business development and consulting with the Forum Corporation and Mercuri International with a focus on leadership development, customer service excellence and sales force effectiveness.

He is a Key Note Speaker at international and regional Conferences, Workshops and Seminars on the following themes: Talent Management; Executive Leadership Development, Employee Engagement and Managing Across Generational Gap, Strategic Human Resource Management, and Talent Management & Succession Planning. He is a Contributing Author on the Chapter “Maximising the Potential of Future Leader” for the Book “Coaching in Asia ”. He has published extensive series of contemporary articles on topics such as Talent Management, Leadership Effectiveness, Strategic HR/OD, Career Management and Executive Coaching in the “The Straits’ Times”, “Singapore Business Review”, “Today’s Manager” and “Human Capital” magazine.

Apart from his executive coaching practice, Prof Bawany is also involved in training aspiring executive coaches and in supporting the professionalization of managerial coaching and a strong desire to see organizations developing performance coaching culture at the workplace. To support this work Prof Bawany has created a dedicated coaching program, Professional Coach Training Program (PCTP), which is an approved certified course by the International Professional Managers Association (IPMA).

He is a graduate of Corporate Coach U and a Licensed Coaching Clinic Facilitator. He is certified in the administration and application of various psychometric instruments and assessments including the Extended DISC® System, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator™ (MBTI), Bar-On EQ 360™ and EQ-i™. He is also certified in the administration and application of the Hogan Suite of High Potential Assessments (HPI, HDS and MVPI and Hogan 360) as well as EDA’s Leadership Effectiveness Survey (LES) and MRG’s suite of instruments including “Leadership Effectiveness Analysis™” (LEA 360 Assessment tool) and “Strategic Leadership Development”. He is also accredited in the administration and application of the Benchmarks®, Skillscope® Profiling Instruments from Centre for Creative Leadership (CCL).

Prof Bawany is a Fellow of the International Professional Managers Association (IPMA) and The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). He is a Professional Member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). He is also a Practising Member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and International Association of Coaching (IAC).

His latest book on “Transforming the Next Generation of Leaders: Developing Future Leaders for a Disruptive, Digital-Driven Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0)” published by Business Expert Press (BEP) LLC, New York in July 2019 and is now available in Paperback and Kindle version on Amazon and leading bookstores globally.

He has also been interviewed in leading international business publications such as International Business Review and Talent Management Excellence as well as regional HR publications such as HRM Asia. Prof Bawany appeared regularly on MediaCorp’s Radio’s 93.8FM Live and Channel NewsAsia as a studio guest.
